Mi Cine Inclusivo proudly presents the online premiere of its feature documentary Inclusion – Beyond Cinema, now available free of charge and worldwide on YouTube.
This unique film explores how cinema —a medium capable of moving, connecting, and transforming us— still contains barriers that prevent millions of people from fully enjoying it. From Spain to Latin America, artists, experts, and people with disabilities share their experiences and proposals to build a truly universal form of cinema.
A journey beyond the screen
Inclusion – Beyond Cinema dives into our inclusive filmmaking methodology. Through intimate interviews, exclusive footage, and deeply emotional moments, the documentary reveals both the strengths and the challenges of audiovisual accessibility around the world.
The story travels through diverse locations such as the Spanish Senate, international universities, and Walt Disney studios in Buenos Aires, maintaining an engaging rhythm filled with unexpected turns.

Inclusive cinema from its conception
The film has been designed as a fully inclusive experience:
-
Subtitles for deaf and hard-of-hearing audiences.
-
Accessible script and sound design, eliminating the need for a separate audio description track.
-
Dubbed and subtitled version in English for deaf audiences.
This approach ensures that accessibility is not an addition, but an essential part of the creative process.
A universal message
With a global perspective, the documentary emphasizes that cultural accessibility is a human right. Shot in Spain, Mexico, Peru, Argentina, several Arab countries, and the United States, the film demonstrates that culture and education are key tools to promote equality, respect, and resilience.
Following the motto “Nothing about us without us,” the production has involved people with disabilities both in front of and behind the camera.
