Miguel Ángel Font Bisier: New horizons in culture and inclusion

Introduction

Miguel Ángel Font Bisier is a Valencian film director, researcher, teacher and writer. With a degree in Audiovisual Communication and a PhD in Applied Languages, Literature and Translation, he has extensive musical training and is able to communicate in six languages, which has allowed him to shoot more than 300 audiovisual projects in different countries. With a wide variety of genres and styles, his works have been awarded and screened at prestigious national and international festivals, in cinemas, on channels such as Teledeporte, Dark or À Punt, and on platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video or Filmin.

Inclusive cinema and teaching

In 2017, Font Bisier created Inclusive Cinema, a methodology by which he adds accessibility resources to the script of his works and has generated a notorious social, political, educational, economic and artistic impact. Thanks to the growing interest in his work, Font Bisier has appeared before the Cultural Commission of the Spanish Senate, the Ministry of Culture of Peru or the Valencian Parliament, has advised The Walt Disney Company Latin America, Galician Audiovisual Cluster and has collaborated with institutions such as the University of Valencia, Boston University or Hamad bin Khalifa University in Qatar. He has also worked as a teacher in projects financed by the European Union, in the area of Vocational Training, in Training, Innovation and Educational Resources Centres, or in the Totart Performing Arts School.

Publications as a writer and researcher

Font Bisier is also the author of several literary publications, both informative and fictional. The former includes three educational manuals, several scientific articles and his doctoral thesis. His fictional works include four interactive and inclusive books that combine writing with audiovisual materials: Un confinamiento de cuentos (2020), Tres monos sabios (2023), El recetario de Inés (2023) and Alunia (2024). These works reflect his passion for literature and cinema as well as his commitment to social research, three hallmarks of an author who is always exploring new horizons and challenges.
